The role of the Physical Therapist is to evaluate the movement of the stroke patient and create a personalized plan to help them regain strength, coordination, balance, and control of their movement. Physical Therapists can also communicate with the patient’s doctor to refer them to other therapies (Occupational & Speech Therapy) to also help with their rehabilitation goals.
